Reliquaries
Reliquaries are special rooms that can sometimes be found in Shortcuts. They contain 2 large statues of Council members, offering a choice of 2 blessings that grant powerful passive effects. Interestingly, the blessing pickups persist if the player leaves the room, despite not having a lock icon. In The Temple, a Reliquary can be found on the "Strange sigils mark this door" path, and is also one of the possible reward rooms on the Path of Pain. In addition, finding both of these paths is the only way for multiple Reliquaries to generate on a single floor, Temple or otherwise.
Blessings
The player can only have one blessing at a time, as taking a second one will replace the first. Each blessing is named after its corresponding Council member's preferred type of magic.

The item restocked will not necessarily be the item that was initially bought; it is likely to be different. Works on all shop types except Gambling Halls.

Notably, this has synergy with the Fortune upgrade and Magic Bag Cartridge. While magic bag is active, two identical sets of choices will be created.

An enemy bullet may, at a 1/8 chance, not fire.

While in combat, shortcuts still need to be opened by bombing. After combat, walls leading to shortcuts will automatically open. Does not open secret rooms.

An extra room is added to the current floor and all later floors that give the player a choice between 3 high tier Pickups, which can include Weapons, Cartridges, a special keyword stone with up to 7 options, and more. These are not shown on the map and must be bombed into. Unlike secret rooms, Enigma rooms can sometimes be revealed with the Scanner Upgrade. |
Statues
At the bottom of each statue is a plaque with a vow of some sort written on it, presumably once said by the associated Council member.
