Shops
Shops are a type of room where players can trade debris or sometimes HP in exchange for a variety of possible Pickups. There are several shop types, but the most common will provide the player with three choices consisting of pickups (varying in quality) or weapons. Item prices in shops increase per floor.
Shops are guaranteed to generate on Floors 1-5 and 7, and on a specific path in The Temple. Floor 1 only ever has one shop but other Floors can sometimes have a second. Shops will never generate on Floor 6 unless the player has the Cool Sunglasses Cartridge, in which case it can have either one or two shops. Two of the same type of shop will never appear on the same floor, with the exception of Temple Shops.
Types of Shops
Bloke's Shop
The most common kind of shop room, it offers three options consisting of pickups or weapons in exchange for debris. Item prices in Bloke's shop are the base prices that all other shop's prices are based on.
In addition to these items, a unique item called Special Offer can appear when Overlord is defeated, allowing players to fight the boss of the same name. This item no longer spawns once Special Offer is defeated.

Big Shop
Unlike Bloke's Shop, five items are offered to the player in exchange for debris. Prices in this shop are 25% higher than Bloke's Shop.
Life Shop
Four items are offered for sale in exchange for max HP, or HP parts for cheaper items. Unlike other shops, life shop prices do not increase with each floor. On Intense Lethality, any max HP lost from life shop purchases cannot be regained, and on Sudden Death, items that cost max HP are effectively unpurchaseable. For this reason, life shop prices on these modes are lower for some items.

Gambling Hall
Pickups cannot be purchased directly in this shop. Rather, the player pays debris to roll a die, and they get the offered pickup or weapon if the resulting number is a 1 or a 6. Rolling prices start at 20% of the item's Shop price on the current floor and increase by +20% (additive) every time the player wins an item.
Shrine
Though they aren't very shop-like, shrines are considered by the game to be a type of shop, as they have the same map icon and follow the same floor generation rules.
Cartridge Shop
Offers two Cartridges for sale in exchange for debris, at a 33% higher price than cartridges in Bloke's Shop.
Artifact Shop
This room offers three Unique Weapons for sale in exchange for debris. Prices are the same as Bloke's Shop.
Temple Shop
The only type of shop that can appear in The Temple, found on the "You hear clattering coins" path. Temple shops are functionally identical to Bloke's shop, but with a different shopkeeper. They have the same prices as the floor Temple was entered from; for example, if Temple is entered after Floor 3, then its shops will have Floor 3 prices. This is the only type of shop that can generate multiple times on the same floor.
Warehouse
A shop that sells Crates is planned for the next major update.
Notes
- The Discount upgrade reduces shop prices by 34%, despite its description saying 33%.
- Discount affects all shop types except Life Shops and Shrines.
- For some reason, weapons are only affected by Discount in shops the player discovered before getting the upgrade. For every shop after, weapons have non-discounted prices.
- The Blessing of Earth gives a 50% chance for a shop to restock an item in the same spot the player just purchased one. Works on all shop types except Gambling Halls and Shrines.
- The Member Card Cartridge adds one extra item to all future shops, for all shop types except Gambling Halls and Shrines.
- Shopkeepers can be hacked using the Plug Cartridge to reduce prices by 25%. Hacking a Life Shop instead reduces its prices by 50% (rounding down), and hacking a Gambling Hall make rolls free for the current item.
- The 13-Leaf Clover Cartridge increases the odds of rolling a 1 or 6 at a Gambling Hall from 33% to 50%.
