Unlock ConditionWhen a Key is sold in a store, there will be a Skully. Buy the key without leaving and talk to the Skully. Buy Skully from Kleines for 200,000 scrap.


Skully is unique in that all Weapons picked up in the run influence the current one. Skully is one of two ships that was previously added in the Monolith: Relics of the Past DLC, the other being Arena Blaster. Both are now included with the base version of Star of Providence.

Gameplay Differences

Weapons picked up carry permanent keywords and can modify weapon stats. These do not change the base weapon. When ammo is depleted, the player keeps the weapon they have, and simply stays at zero ammo. Damage pickups, Artifact Weapons, and the Artifact Upgrade do not spawn while playing as Skully. Most weapons fire the same way, simply shooting a projectile similar to a revolver, though the look of the shot varies by weapon. Holy Water adds a permanent 5% damage and max ammo to the player's stats.

Stats

Using the starter weapon as a base, the stats of your ammo weapon are multiplied by what you pick up.

Damage

Separate from Damage%, this simply affects the base damage of each shot, which is then multiplied by Damage%.

Ammo Capacity

Affects the number of shots that can be fired before reloading.

Firing Speed

Affects rate of fire.

Projectiles

Affects how many bullets are launched with each shot.

If you have only two projectiles, they will fire in a v pattern, negating most upsides of having multiple projectiles.

Damage will be split between projectiles.

Pierce

Determines how many enemies a single projectile can pass through.

Shot Speed

Affects how fast shots travel.

Sword (Bloodlust)
  • Gain the Bloodlust keyword.
Bloodlust sets Skully on fire at after enough kills.
Sword (Reflecting)
  • Adds a secondary attack in the form of a sword swing that reflects bullets in front of you. Stacking this increases the fire rate.
While firing, very low chance to reflect bullets in front of you.
Drill (Basic)
  • Increases Pierce by 4

Drill (Tesla Coiled)
  • Damage 1.25x
  • Fire Rate 0.8x
  • +1 Chain Lightning
Drill that passes through terrain.
Drill (Multi Tool)
  • Damage 1.25x

Charge (Wide Spray)
  • Damage 0.95x
  • Fire Rate 1.2x
  • Shots become less accurate.
Does not actually charge up. "Shots become less accurate" means that it widens the degree to which your shot can deviate.

Interestingly, the Vulcan shot is only one part, despite the sprite suggesting that it would be split.
