Charge weapons are one of the 5 default weapon types unlocked from the start of the game. It rapidly shoots small bullets with some inaccuracy, but while not being fired it automatically charges up extra bullets for the next shot. The maximum charge is 15 bullets, and the charge rate is the same as the gun's fire rate (12 bullets/second by default). Charge shots still consume 1 ammo per bullet fired.

While at full charge, automatically deals constant damage to 1 nearby enemy, using up some ammo. Similar to the Electrode Cartridge, but has longer range and can attack through walls.
SwarmingKeyword.png Swarming

"Chance of firing a Swarmer"

Swarmers automatically seek enemies and deal more damage than normal bullets.

Only appears when Swarmer Pack is toggled on.

Unique Variants

Currently there are 3 unique Charge weapons, listed below. Like all unique weapons, they cannot be cursed or have any additional keywords added to them.

Shoots an atomic shot. Hit it with another normal shot and it will explode and deal heavy damage.
Genocide

Shoots a blast of fireballs in front of the player (in a 90 degree angle). This attack has to be changed up for a few seconds and it can be charged before entering a room. The very last row of fireballs deal extra damage.
Snowblower

Fires freezing charge shots that when fully charged create an ice shot that on impact splits into 12 smaller shots.
