Bestiary Entry | "What's that? I've got no limbs? It's just a flesh wound." |
Dread Knight is one of the four minibosses that can appear in The Temple. Defeating it will grant the player the Magic Shield Cartridge, and empower The Warden.
Attacks
Throughout the fight with DrdKnight, it will have an indestructible shield to the lower right of it that cannot take damage.
Description | Video |
---|---|
DrdKnight will throw its sword towards the ground, creating two patterns of bullets, layered on top of one another. The first and fastest moving layer is a wave of revolver shots moving upwards that peaks where the sword hit the ground. The second, much slower moving wave of bullets is composed of nine wide bullets moving outwards. | |
DrdKnight moves its sword in a clockwise motion, creating many groups of three wide bullets. The bullets separate as they travel outwards. In addition, a group of archers will appear on the left or right wall, with the center of the group aligned with the player. The archers fire arrows along targeting lasers. | |
DrdKnight swings its sword rapidly, releasing many curled bullets downwards. Several slashes move across the screen, targeting the player and indicated by waring markers. | |
DrdKnight smashes its sword into the background, and fires a ring of bullets that bounce when hitting a wall for the first time. A group of archers covering the right wall will appear, firing arrows forwards. Another group of archers will then appear on the left side of the room, doing the same but covering the spaces that the previous group did not. |
Trivia
- DrdKnight, along with DrdLich, DrdSkull, and The Warden, originated from a previous project of Team D-13, a forum adventure. This also spawned the game Handheld.Exe.
- Drdknight's Bestiary Entry is a reference to the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
