Chamberlord is one of four Bosses that can be encountered in Excavation. Its design is an evolution of the Chamberhead enemy, which is featured prominently throughout the fight.

It has 4 locations that it likes to be at, which cause it to line up with its background. For most of the fight, it will alternate between moving to a new location and using a random basic attack.

Attack Patterns

For its basic attacks, Chamberlord has 2 simple patterns that feature large bullets, or it can spawn a Chamberhead, launching it slightly towards the player before it gets to move on its own. The bullet patterns are a tri-shot and a penta-shot, with the latter being spaced out a full 360 degrees. Chamberlord attack1.gif
When 3 Chamberheads exist at the same time, Chamberlord will do one more normal attack and then move to the center.

If there are still 3 Chamberheads when it's ready to attack, it will do this instead of a normal attack:

A continuous blue double-helix of bullets will burst from Chamberlord, telegraphed by small red dots. The pattern will continue to emerge from Chamberlord, rotating at about a 120 degree angle before stopping. This attack destroys all Chamberheads that touch it.

At 33% HP, after finishing its current attack, Chamberlord will move to the center, spawn four invulnerable Chamberheads, and then start firing large bullets upwards and downwards, rapidly accelerating its firerate to produce a stream of large bullets. It will then rotate the continuous stream of bullets for slightly greater than 180 degrees before repeating the attack, rotating in the opposite direction from before. It is unlikely for a player to see the end of this attack unintentionally, due to Chamberlord's low health. Chamberlord attack3.gif

Hard Mode

  • On Hard mode, the Chamberlord gains 2 additional attacks that feature mid-sized bullets. It is still just as likely to spawn Chamberheads as before (verification needed).
